GRC 25 was THE BEST GRC TO DATE!! We headed back to Palm Desert - playing both Desert Willow courses (Firecliff & Mountain View) along with our personal favorite in the whole desert, PGA West, Nicklaus Tournament. 44 players (a GRC record) set out to compete for the 6th GRC Title.
We had amazing lodging, course conditions, and weather was PERFECT all 3 days. Touches of light wind and 70 degrees every day made for an Iconic GRC. Casino nights at Auga Calienete held some fun memories, and it was great seeing all 44 players in the desert this year!!
The perennial Putt Pirates vs The OG’s clash returned in 2025 with The Pirates eyeing their first GRC title, with full ferocity. While The OG's looked at FOUR STRAIGHT GRC Wins… Who would call themselves champions of The 6th Annual GRC??

Day 1: Scramble
The BEST GRC Swag to date was passed out, while Opening Ceremony was delivered and our "Putt for Poison” contest took place on the practice green! Adam, Blake, Josh and more captured bottles with some incredible putts. What an amazing first day getting everyone together.
The Pirates led for the majority of Day 1 … with some incredible putts dropping on hole 18 to flip matches for The OG's. The Yap boys tied Match 2 and Ben Sparling made a huge birdie on the finishing hole to take a 1 point win for The OG's in Match 6. Josh England canned a birdie from off the green to push Match 8, while Stephen Rolle & Commish had a comeback win with a birdie on Hole 18 in the Final Match of the day.
At the end of Day 1 …The OG's jumped out to a 7-4 lead in GRC 25 ...
Everyone circled around hole 18 - Mountain View - to watch the matches filter in.
Day 2: Best Ball
On Day2, The OG's continued their run of dominance on Desert Willow, Firecliff. The greens were ULTRA firm and the Pirates led for the majority of the day once again. Around 1:00 the tides started to turn against The Pirates. The OG's pulled away late to capture to a narrow Day 2 victory at 6-5

After Day 2 … GRC 25 was 13-9 in favor of the reigning champs once again …
Day 3: Sunday Singles
On Day 3 @PGA West, Nicklaus … the Pirates did the UNTHINKABLE … and absolutely routed The 3 Time Defending Champions, The OG's … with a Dominant 16-6 Sunday Singles Win! There were Fireworks on Hole 16, 17 & 18 on many of the matches - but the Pirates never faltered. They stormed the greens and Captured the GRC Cup with full conviction. They led almost the entire day, closed strong and enjoyed a well deserved GRC 25 Championship!
PGA West, Nicklaus
What a weekend!! Incredible weather and close matches all around. So many birdies and match points coming down the final few drives and putts. 44 competitors all giving it their 100% and a close finish to end the GRC was fantastic!
Congrats again to The Putt Pirates on capturing the GRC 25 Cup! The OG's will surely be back in 2026 aiming at claiming their 4th GRC title. Will The Pirates defend their GRC 25 victory?? Only time will tell! Hoping to see everyone back for the 7th Annual GRC 26!
