The Inaugural GRC was an amazing event! We had 16 Guys join us for the first year. Team Big Putts vs Team Landscaping Duty duked it out for 3 days. Day 1 started with a HUGE surge from Big Putts and they took a commanding 3-1 lead out of the gate at the Dunes Course.
Day 2 was a grind and the gap looked to be closing, ultimately ending with a similar story to Day 1 with Big Putts leading 5 1/2 to 2 1/2 after playing PGA West Nicklaus.
Team Captain, Maxx Mamula purchased his team Tiger Red polo's to wear on the final day... CLASSY move!!! As the event headed to the challenging PGA West Norman course for the final day of play... Landscaping Duty charged in the early groups with Team Captain Johnny Umamoto playing some exceptional golf in the lead group for Landscaping Duty. He helped to tie things up early in the day, leaving the fate to the final 2 groups. Ultimately Big Putts came out victorious with an 11-9 victory in the Inaugural Cup. Congrats to everyone on Big Putts for great play throughout the weekend and a strong close!!
